Your path to healing starts here

Bio & Background

I received my doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in clinical child/adolescent psychology from the University of Indianapolis in 2018. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans providing trauma-informed care to crisis, inpatient and outpatient settings. I then returned to the Kansas City area to complete my post-doctoral training at the Kansas City Center for Anxiety Treatment (KCCAT) where I received specialty training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and other anxiety-related conditions, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) and Comprehensive Behavioral Treatment for Skin Picking and Hair Pulling Disorders (ComB). I have also received additional training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), including PCIT for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I remained at KCCAT as a Staff Psychologist for two years following the completion of my post-doctoral training and was the Director of Practicum training this past year.

I am excited to begin this new chapter with my own private practice. My treatment approach utilizes a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) framework to understand a client’s current challenges and how they are impacting functioning. I focus on collaborating with individuals and their families to develop a treatment plan focused on their goals and needs while using evidence-based strategies. I believe incorporating the family system is often essential to creating sustainable progress in treatment. My hope is to build confidence in each client that they may understand and regulate their emotions independently to ultimately create the life they envisioned.
